Masuda is also a sacred place for Shiba-inu (dogs).
The origin of Shiba-inu is considered to be the Sekishu-inu “Ishi-go”, which was in Mito Town, Masuda City at the beginning of the Showa period. In Masuda, as the birthplace of Shiba-inu, events are held taht Shiba-inu welcome at the airport.
