The Masuda City is served by two lines of the trains, the Sanin Honsen Line and the Yamaguchi Line. There are a variety of trains on the line, including the Oki limited express, which runs from Yonago / Izumo to Shin-Yamaguchi, and local trains on the Sanin Honsen Line (which terminate at Izumo Station and depart for Hagi / Shimonoseki).
It is also a stop for the “Mizukaze” Premium Express, a train that travels around western Japan. During the daytime when the Mizukaze runs through the area, local residents can be seen waving flags to welcome visitors. Check out the Mizukaze stop times at Masuda station on the Internet.
On the train trip, you can see the view of the coast of the Sea of Japan. You can also take a leisurely train trip to nearby places by local train and enjoy the scenery of the four seasons. You can also go sightseeing to nearby Tsuwano, where the steam locomotive “Yamaguchi-go” runs.
